Intensive Moscow's Assaults Eliminate Electricity Throughout Kyiv

Power facilities under attack in the region
The country's energy systems have come under escalating strikes in the past few days

Throughout the evening, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have caused electricity outages in extensive areas of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

Nine people were hurt while inhabitants in eastern neighborhoods were left without electricity and encountered interruptions to water systems, according to municipal leaders.

Meanwhile, a minor was fatally injured in a separate aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia region in the country's south-east, based on information from local officials.

Moscow has intensified attacks on energy facilities over recent weeks, while Ukrainian leadership has demanded "substantial measures" from allies to apply pressure on Moscow.

"The necessity is not superficial actions but strong steps - from the United States, Europe and the Group of Seven - in supplying protection systems and enforcing sanctions," he wrote in a public message.

He said that 450 drones and more than 30 projectiles struck Ukraine's energy infrastructure, describing such assaults as "premeditated" and against "essential services" as the weather cools.

Energy officials said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and repair crews were striving to fix the damage.

A wave of strikes damaged power facilities and residential structures in Kyiv.

Several of the people injured in the assaults on the city have been hospitalized, per statements from local officials.

Area administrators said the urban area came under heavy assaults during nighttime hours. A minor died and several individuals were hurt.

The strikes follow periods of aerial attacks in the area, parts of which are occupied by Moscow's military.

The whole nation is in a state of readiness for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are more difficult to identify.

National leaders told the media that Russia was purposely seeking to destroy the national power system, with attacks already disrupting energy systems.

He said utility staff and authorities were anticipating more assaults.
